I ended up going to the show in Mt Vernon, MO, on February 28th, despite the bad weather. We are used to driving in snowy conditions, so we did fine. We did miss some major interstate pileups, which we are very thankful for. However, Ellie did Amazing!! She took BOV (Best of Variety) and BOB (Best of Breed) Show A, winning her first Leg (a show title, 3 legs and that would make her a Grand Champion) and then Show B, She took BOV and BOB Again, placing her a second leg. Eloquence now has 2 legs towards her Grand Champion, at only 6 months old!! I'm so excited to see her continue to mature, and hopefully keep up the titles on the showtable. There is another big Sanction Show in Sedalia in April, which I'm excited to take Ellie to. This rabbit is so quiet and well mannered for grooming, and she did great at the show. The picture above shows her perched on her little towel, waiting for English Angora's to be called up. She just sat there all day, not hopping down, just patiently waiting and letting everyone admire her. Below are some pictures of her.
So there is a little update for you! I did get a couple more Dutch doe's bred (see the Dutch Nestbox page for more info on those) and hopefully expecting in April. The Angora babies are keeping me busy, and Ellie is a lot fun, even to groom, she is just so pretty I end up really enjoying blowing her out.
Have a Blessed Week! I'll post another update hopefully sometime soon!
