Wow it has been awhile since a blog post! I've just been busy with summer, and the farm is never quiet, spring and summer are busy months around here and finding time for blog posts is scarce. But, I think ya'll need a good update, seeing as I do have lots of news to share with everyone! First off, I'll rewind back to Nationals the First weekend in May. I went. All the way to Ohio! Fun trip, got to meet tons of amazing friends and mentors and it was totally terrific. I showed Ellie, my beautiful REW doe, she took BOS Best opposite sex (2nd place) in Youth all three shows, the first in NARBC, BOV and BOS, tying with the BIS winner for Best presentation, for the second time in the OARF (Ohio Angora rabbit Fanciers specialty) she took BOS, BOV, and tied for Best overall presentation, and then in OSRBA (Ohio state rabbit breeders association) she took BOS. She came home toting 2 more legs, and looking just as fluffy as ever. Anndd..... I also came home with a new addition! Meet Dustibunni's Sno! From the same breeder as my beautiful Eloquence, Sno is a stunning REW buck. I also showed him there in Ohio, he took one BOV at around 12 weeks old, which was awesome. He is now a Sr. Judges have made many compliments on him, all of them good, and he is starting to really show potential to follow in Ellie footsteps this fall. He'll sit tight through August and hit the tables again this fall for some hopeful Sr awards. He is a perfect match for my darling Ellie, as a boyfriend, and we'll hopefully have a litter from these two in the next couple of months. Now before I move on too quickly, here are a bunch of pictures from Nationals in Ohio. Total blast, and I can't wait until next year! (It'll probably be in Iowa or somewhere else, but still, Nationals is just a blast!) So, Nationals was awesome. Had a lovely month of May, coats on the jrs have been developing, Sno and Acadia are just getting prettier and prettier. Then in June, the 12th and the 13th, I headed to Kansas! All the way to Wichita, for 2 Mid America Angora Sanctions, KSRBA and then Kansas Sunflower Show. Sno and Acadia did great, I went home happy with my placings, had a great time meeting some other wonderful people and friends, and Showed Ellie for the last time. She left the tables in style. She has now been clipped down. No more coat for her! Here are some pictures. So! I've in the meantime, decided to let Both of Stormy's babies retire to pet homes, they just didn't end up turning out as I'd hoped, so that leaves just Acadia. She is my gorgeous doll now. She got some lovely comments at her debut in KS, so now like Sno, she will wait to hit the tables this fall in Sr coat. I love the way she is turning out, I'm so excited to watch her develop further and work for some awards with her! My precious little "Kadie girl." In other news, Raven and Sno are bred and she is due tomorrow. Let's hope for babies, even if it is a small litter. Cupcake and Hornblower are due and also expecting tomorrow. Elise has 7 beautiful blue babies that are 3-4 weeks old now. Other than that, we are just sitting tight for summer, although I will end this post with a slight bit of mystery. ;-) Plans are in motion in several different areas, (exciting possible new additions!!!), and I can't wait to share with you some of the upcoming excitement when I can. ;-) So stay tuned, I'll hopefully post again soon. Now that Spring is over, things are slowing down a bit, and I'll hopefully get more time to update. Thanks for stopping by!
