English Angora Nestbox
April 6th, 2018
Long awaited update is finally here! Sorry for not updating more often.
Angelina's babies are all grown up! They are 10 weeks old now and quite adorable. I ended up with a Blue, a Lilac and a Blue Tort. 2 bucks and the Lilac is a doe (keeper!). LOVE how this litter is turning out. Sire is Bleu Cortez. Siri x Persuasion had 2 Babies on February 20th. A blue buck and a REW doe. They are both maturing beautifully! Check out more pictures of them on the recent blog post! They are 5 weeks old now. Ellie x Tommahawk had 3 babies on Feb 20th.. 2 did not make it, but I have one chunky healthy gorgeous Blue buck. I love him. Trying to decide if he is a keeper. Still so young yet. Very adorable with oodles of personality. More pictures on the blog. Andd..... THIS MORNING. Jubilee x Firefly had a beautiful litter of babies. 6. ALL are doing well so far. She is a great mom. Litter is staying with me in the house. So far, 3 torts, 2 blues and 1 Lilac!! So excited to be getting Lilacs. Such a lovely color. Sire is a Lilac tort, but I'm delighted to be getting self babies. (Pictured Left) Several more breedings planned. |

Finally! Babies have arrived! Moirai's Angelina who was bred to Bungalow's Cortez (son of Dustibunni's Eloquence x GC buck from Margaret Bartold) had her 1st litter! And I really have to give this doe some SERIOUS mom kudos. She is an epic mother. That dream doe that puts all her babies in the nestbox, the doe that doesn't have me waking up at 5:30am to check and make sure all the babies are still in the box and they are staying well fed. She has 7 beautiful little munchkins that are thriving! They were born January 14th, they are now 1 week old. Colors are.... 1 REW, 4 Blue torts, and..... 2 Blues or what POSSIBLY might be Lilac. I might be seeing things, wishful thinking maybe, but I might just have 2 Lilacs. Again, they are really young. Time will tell.
But can I just say.... it has been 8 months since I had mini-marshmellows in the nestbox. I've been REALLY missing little angora babies lately. I'm SO excited to watch this litter grow!!!! Look at their little noses! All those other does I bred? Hah! That truly was wishful hoping. Yeah, they bred, but several didn't have litters. Much to my disappointment. So, I rebred them. Fingers crossed this time that they will have babies. Bungalow's Show Me Some Steel x Bri's Rome: DUE February 19th Bungalow's Siri x Bungalow's Persuasion: DUE February 19th Bungalow's Jubilee x Bungalow's Firefly: DUE February 16th Terri's Sansa x Bungalow's Cortez: DUE February 19th Dustibunni's Eloquence (Ellie) x Bri's Tomahawk: DUE February 19th And no.... I haven't been able to get Dante to breed does yet. He tries, but hasn't figured that part of life out yet. *sigh* He truly is the best match in the barn to Bungalow's Regal Essence, although she is also well matched to Bri's Tomahawk. I've been holding out to get a litter out of her with Dante, but I may go ahead and breed her to Tommy. So... Yes. The doe I want bred the most is still waiting to be bred. Soon, I hope. |

An update on the breedings here at Bungalow of Bunnies:
Moirai's Angelina x Bungalow's Cortez = DUE January 14th
Bungalow's Cerulean Siri x Bungalow's Persausion = DUE January 14th
Dustibunni Eloquence BISS GC x Bungalow's Firefly = DUE January 14th
7Pines Bijou x Bugalow's Persuasion = DUE December 29th
This is a deviation from my earlier planned list.... I had some trouble breeding Dante and raising his interest in does. I still am working on and planning to breed Regal Essence, Show Me Some Steel, and Jubilee to him.
A couple folks are probably wondering about Firefly and Persuasion as choice bucks. I'm very excited about both of them, they will be added to my buck page very soon. Persuasion is the son of Bri's Rome and Bungalow's BISS Jubilee. His genetics come from some of the strongest east coast lines available, going back a pedigree of outstanding champions. His Grandmothers on both sides were absolutely exceptional animals, and were paired with some of the best herdsires. At 5 months old Persuasion won BOSV to Regal Essence at 2017 NATIONAL convention in Youth in Indianapolis, beating the senior white bucks in class when he was just a junior. Talk about a power animal at even a young age, he is incredibly dense with a wonderful body. He is a buck that I'm proud to have here at Bungalow of Bunnies.
Firefly is his own story of unique heritage.... Firefly is the son of Bungalow's Fairlight and Flower's Fresno. Fairlight was a tort doe after my heart of hearts, and Firefly's sister (Bungalow's Flicka of a Moment) has a BOB at just 5 months old. Flicka is explained in detail on my latest blog post. Her twin brother is equally gorgeous. Fairlight was bred to a buck, Fresno, that resides at my friend Lil's rabbitry in Kansas. Fresno goes back to a pedigree of Pure Silvertones.... Firefly was specifically selected to be bred to Dustibunni's Eloquence for this reason, as they share some genetic legends several generations back leading me to hope that bringing these lines together could result in something truly spectacular. Firefly himself is a vision of handsomeness that is a truly beautiful representation of this wonderful breed, beautiful crimp and stunningly bright color. Texture is out of this world and beautiful balanced, density is on the playing field of not just a good buck, but a GREAT buck. This is a buck I plan to keep as a herdsire for several years. His sister is my Premier doe for the 2018 spring show season.

I took a break from breeding from April until now, but 7 litters are planned to arrive Dec-January. I will update exact breeding dates as they happen, but here are the pairings planned. If you wish for a baby from one of these litters let me know. While I do not take deposits until the litters are old enough to be evaluated, I know I will have some outstanding show animals available. Every year the quality of the litters steps up a game, and I'm REALLY excited about several of these litters!
7Pines Bijou has been bred to Bungalow's Persuasion (REW buck out of Bri's Rome and Bungalow's Jubilee) due December 29th.
Planned pairings:
Dustibunni Eloquence BISS GC x Heart Felt Dante
Bungalow's Jubilee BISS/2legs x Heart Felt Dante
Bungalow's Regal Essence BISS GC x Heart Felt Dante
Bungalow's Show Me some Steel x Heart Felt Dante
Bungalow's Cerulean Siri x Heart Felt Dante
Moirai's Angelina x Bungalow's Cortez
As you can see, Dante is the planned buck for several of these breedings. The reason being, the 2017 National ARBA convention BEST ENGLISH WOOL award was awarded to this guy. His density is the best of any of the herdsires I've ever used. He is truly stunning. I'm particularly excited about seeing Siri and Essence's babies out of this pairing, however all these does are real power animals both on the showtables and have incredible genetic potential. While the thought of breeding this many is a bit overwhelming for me (this could be a bunch of babies), I'm also contemplating attending 2018 National ARBA convention in Massachusetts. Either way, I will have some fantastic babies available. I keep a small breeding program overall, and several pick of the litters may come available. I will be selective as to where they go, but you may contact me if you are interested in something.

The very beautiful litters are all grown up! Bungalow's Jubilee + Bri's Rome litter of 5 is all BOYS, and they are turning 8 weeks old the 4th of June. They are an absolutely beautiful litter, while I wished for a doe, I feel these are some of the highest quality bucks that have ever been born here at Bungalow of Bunnies. Their density and texture development is outstanding for their age, and I have not had to even touch a slicker brush whatsoever yet with them, they are staying in perfect condition. This is a trait that mama Jubilee had and I'm doubly proud and delighted to see this passed down to her offspring. There will be some outstanding herdsires in this litter! While I'm not much of a buck person, I can see several grow out cages being added to my barn to watch these boys grow out. They truly are gorgeous. I can't help but smile every time I open their cage, their personalities are above and beyond what I desire to see, they are the sweetest most loving little handsome boys. Suffice it to say I'm in love with this litter!
And take a look at that beautiful Sansa baby litter!!! 7 weeks old!!! I'm officially nearly dying of cuteness. This litter makes me giggle every time I step into my "barn" (also known as the Air conditioned Rabbit Palace), they are perfectly ADORABLE!!! Look at their noses!!! 3 Lilac Torts, 3 Blue Torts. 3 bucks, 3 does (thank goodness! At least 50% girls!) and each one with a personality all their own! I got what I wanted, another miniature replica of my darling Fairlight, a beautiful Lilac Tort doe, and the other 2 does are also enchantingly gorgeous. I can't keep a show string as big as I'd like. The quality in this litter is amazing. The crimp of the wool on these babies already makes me drool, and once again I'm faced with another one of those litters that makes me step back and drop my jaw with amazement. These babies are precious. I know 1 for sure has made the keeper list.... I'm *trying* to resist keeping more. We shall see!
There is one more litter, not pictured here *yet*, that has arrived. Much awaited, much treasured, and with utter delight I announce the arrival of 4 beautiful babies from 7Pines Bijou!!!! Bijou (bred to the stunning Bri's Rome) had a litter of 4 perfect little munchkins. 2 REWs, 1 Blue Tort, 1 blue. The Blue Tort is the only doe, the rest are bucks. I don't mind, I'm delighted to have a litter out of this doe. She is a multiple RIS/BOB/BOV 6 leg Grandchampion, and I've been trying for over 13 months to get a litter out of her. I lost the last 2 babies she had 5 months ago very sadly to say, but now I have 4 babies to love on.
For those of you interested in a bunny: Please contact me with what you are looking for. I do not have any does available (everything that I don't keep is already spoken for I believe) but I will have several very very nice bucks available, some for show quality or breeding, some for outstanding fiber animals. Please note I'm not taking deposits until my evaluations are finalized, particularly on does. This is from the age of 8-12 weeks. I do know will have some bucks available around June 18th.
Check out the Blog for lots more adorable pictures and information about these wonderful, beautiful little bundles of cuddles!

April 21, 2017 New Arrivals!!
2 lovely litters of babies are in the nestbox right now. These were bred to be prime 2017 ARBA convention Junior show prospects. These will probably be the last angoras litters I'll have until July or later. Very excited to see some stunning babies out of these litters.
Bungalow's Jubilee (bred to Bri's Rome-main herdsire) had a beautiful litter of 5 REWs on April 4th. (center picture above) They are growing and thriving beautifully. I'm VERY excited about this litter. I rebred Jubilee after I lost her last litter of 2 babies around weaning. Thankfully this litter is everything I could've wished for and they are very beautiful babies. As of the last couple days, all of their eyes are now open and they are hopping out of the nestbox!!
Terri's Sansa had her 2nd litter on April 13th. (her last litter was born July 2016, Sansa is the mother to my beautiful Fairlight). This was a repeat of the last litter, as I was hoping for more Lilac Torts. I'm pretty sure I have some! She had 7 beautiful babies, lost none at birth, and they are all growing and thriving well at this point! Sansa is a Terrific mom, she lost not 1 kit last time and raised a beautiful litter. So proud of this doe. Sire to the litter is Bri's Rome.
Stay tuned for more

The babies are doing well. Show Me Some Steel's litter is all grown up, they turned 7 weeks old today. 5 REWs, 1 Blue. The Blue is staying here as my young show girl. Jubilee's 2 darlings are almost 8 weeks old. 1 doe, 1 buck. Pictures of them on the Blog! Dustibunni's Eloquence has 5 Beautiful Babies. 3 does, 2 bucks. They are darling. There are lots of pictures on the blog, so head over there for a more in depth photoshoot! |

The babies are growing!!! As babies always do, these babies are now in the full-blown cute stage. Pictured above is some of Show Me Some Steel's litter with daddy Zorro. They are a beautiful litter of 6, 5 REWs and 1 Blue. The Blue and 1 Rew are does, the other 4 REWs are bucks. They are ADORABLE!! Of course, most all English Angora babies always are, but these guys are shattering the cuteness meter. They are a little over 1 month old now. All are on food, but like to pester mama Steel for milk snacks still. This litter is so entertaining to just sit and watch!
Dustibunni's Eloquence has a gorgeous litter herself, the 5 REW babies are doing well so far. I'm taking a wild guess that I have 3 girls and 2 boys... time will tell!
Bungalow's Jubilee has a STUNNING litter of 2 REWs. They are 1 week older than Steel's babies and equally as cute. They are both keepers for now.
For Those interested in a Baby from Bungalow of Bunnies, Babies will be available out of Show me some Steel and from Ellie. They are unrelated, for those interested in unrelated breeding pairs. Time WILL be taken to make careful evaluations for which ones I'm keeping, which will be pets, breeding, or show animals. REW is obviously the color I will have available, but they will be stunning. If you are interested in a baby in a couple months, you are welcome to contact me and I'll place you on a waiting list. No deposits until babies are evaluated, at least 8 weeks of age. Thank You.

Dustibunni's Eloquence had a beautiful litter of babies on January 10th. She has 5 babies that are doing well at this point. She had a large litter, but some of the babies didn't make it. The Dutch doe I bred didn't get pregnant so now I'm hoping Ellie can raise this litter. I have been watching feedings closely and have the babies and Ellie in the house for a couple weeks. As of now there are 5 Healthy REWs. I'm pleased.
Show Me Some Steel's litter is adorable. They are 3 weeks old now and with their eyes open, they are bouncing balls of fur! They are perfectly darling. 2 Does (1 is the Blue!) and 4 REW bucks. More bucks than does, but I'm simply delighted the blue is a doe. EXACTLY what I wanted when breeding this litter, at least a blue doe.
Jubilee's litter is growing well too. The 2 babies are chunky little babies, they are turning 4 weeks in two days. There is a doe and a buck. They are being kept for the time being, I love how they are growing!

Happy New Year!! Show Me Some Steel, my beautiful Blue doe (geneotypic blue steel EsEs) had a darling litter of babies on December 23rd, 2016. She had 8 babies, 2 didn't make it because of the cold, but she still has a beautiful litter of 6, 5 REWs and 1 Blue. So very delighted with them! They are growing fast, Steel is a great mama, and she is probably one of my best mamas to date. All of the babies always have big, full bellies and are thriving little kits. Daddy is Moirai's Zorro. (babies Pictured far left and center)
Bungalow's Jubilee's babies are doing wonderfully. The 2 of them are cuddly as ever, soft as a cloud and are meeting the world bright eyed and bushy tailed! I'm guessing a boy and a girl at this point. They are just lovely, healthy, darling babies. Daddy is Bri' Rome. (Picture to the far Right above)
Dustibunni's Eloquence is bred and expecting a litter January 10th. The first litter expected in the new year!! I bred a Dutch doe as well so if Ellie doesn't get her milk in or have enough to feed a larger litter I can foster a few of the babies. Hopeful that this time it will go better.

Jubilee had her first litter! 2 beautiful REW babies have arrived this morning. Really praying they make it! Daddy is Bri's Rome. I call them my little Roman Jubilee babies!
GC Bijou's babies have officially graduated the nestbox. They are now over 7 weeks old and mama already weaned them a couple weeks ago. I finally just separated them from Bijou, they have their own little cage and get spoiled kisses and extra oats every day. They are precious. Daddy is Rome.
Bungalow's Show Me Some Steel is bred and expecting next weekend (December 24th). There is a possibility if she goes 1 day late I'll have babies Christmas morning. I suspect she might, since Jubilee went overdue. Steel and Jubilee share the same dad and Jubilee's mom is Steel's great Aunt, so it might be hereditary, between that and Steel's mom went a day over with her. Daddy is Morai's Zorro. Very excited to see his babies!!
GC Dustibunni's Eloquence has been rebred, and is expecting a litter with Rome. All will be REWs. Due date is January 10th, 2017.

Ellie had a litter, but lost them all. She isn't a great mom, so she will probably be rebred soon.
Bijou's babies are gorgeous. Those two won't be going anywhere! Check out a more extensive photoshoot of them of the blog.

Bijou's beautiful babies are doing wonderful. The Blue is a boy, the Blue tort is a girl. They are as cute as can be and fluffing out in style. Can't wait for Nationals and Convention with this litter! They are exciting, I love snuggling them every day.
Dustibunni's Ellie is due today, I'm expecting a very large litter to present tomorrow morning. She is Huge. Bred to Rome, this litter should be spectacular. All will be REWs.

Dustibunni's Ellie is due today, I'm expecting a very large litter to present tomorrow morning. She is Huge. Bred to Rome, this litter should be spectacular. All will be REWs.
Bungalow's Jubilee is bred to Bri's Rome and expecting her first litter December 16th, 2016 All will be REWs.
Bungalow's Show Me Some Steel is bred to Moirai's Zorro. This will be the last 2016 litter to arrive, due date is December 24th, just before Christmas. REW, Black and Blue expected.
And that wraps up the breedings until Late spring or summer.

Bijou's beautiful babies are growing! They are so very pretty. By now I'm sure you can tell from the picture, the one is a Blue Tort, the other is a Blue. I'm delighted. I so hope these babies will live up to the standards of their gorgeous parents, and I can't wait to watch them grow. Babies truly are the funnest and most adorable things to watch grow, see their personalities develop, those beautiful wool coats come in. This litter has my excitement through the roof!
Bungalow's Show Me Some Steel is expecting November 14th. Only 2 more weeks from today and I get to see some beautiful colors!!!
Dusitbunni's Eloquence (also known as my darling Ellie) has been bred to Bri's Rome. She is due November 26th, Litter will be all REWs.

7Pine's Bijou has delivered 2 beautiful big babies as of this morning!!! 1 Blue, 1 REW. They are fat, healthy, and chunky. They were born on day 33, (most litters are delivered on day 31), but I suspected that since Bijou was a big doe that is older, that she might bake them a little longer. And she did, they are born with fur coming in already! Lovely little babies, so VERY excited to watch them grow!! Small litter size doesn't bother me, I'm most excited to see the quality!
Bungalow's Show Me Some Steel is expecting November 14th. I'm hopeful she is bred, as she has a very different attitude from when I bred her. A good sign! Will update with pictures of Bijou's litter in a few days.

The Sansa babies are precious. 1 month old today, absolutely beautiful healthy little darlings that they are, 3 girls and 2 boys. Colors are decidedly Blue Tort and Black tort: 2 Black Tort bucks, and 3 blue tort does. Don't even ask me how they worked out so perfectly, but I have to say I couldn't be more pleased! Rome has passed on some beautiful traits, as has Sansa. Does it get any cuter than 1 month old English babies? Check out the Blog for more pictures of these sweethearts!
**PLEASE NOTE:** While I know these babies are darling, and I can't keep them all, I'm not taking any deposits until at least 8 weeks of age. I bred this litter for the purpose of my own program, and I am taking as much time as I need to evaluate them. I simply ask for your patience. However, you are welcome to contact me and let me know what you are looking for/needing, just be aware I don't have everything figured out as to what is available yet. Thank You.
No more breedings with English planned until Fall. (Which isn't far off!)

Sansa's Beautiful litter has arrived! 5 beautiful Torts. 5 total babies were born, all 5 of them are still thriving! They were kindled July 23rd, 2016. Perfect timing for Nationals in the Spring! Bred to my stunning herdsire Bri's Rome, this litter is sure to be stunning. This picture was taken at 5 days old.
Blue Tort, Chocolate Tort, and 1 possible Black Tort.
No other does bred yet. Probably not a whole lot planned until fall.
Ellie's stunning blue buck is now 11 weeks old. He is the epitome of gorgeous. Loving his development, and I'm beyond excited to have a blue from Eloquence, combined with lines from Margaret Bartold. So exciting!

Ellie is the only one with babies in the nestbox, bred to Margaret Bartold's stunning GC tort buck. She has 3 babies, 2 REWs and a gorgeous blue. The blue and one of the Rews are boys, one REW is a doe. I will be keeping both the doe and the blue buck, the other REW buck will most likely be available in a couple months. They were Born May 10th.
No other litters expecting or bred yet, although Terri's Sansa and 7Pines Bijou are on my try to breed list.

Raven's babies are so grown up! They are going to be 7 weeks old soon and fluffing out in white! I love to watch whites develop, their beautiful white fur growing into wool. I just love all babies. lol...
I am about to announce the most exciting litter expected ever! My beautiful grandchampion doe Ellie has went on a date with my dear friend Margaret Bartold's tort buck. I'm beyond excited! I'm very hopeful for babies, and they have absolutely stunning parents! Margaret's buck is a gorgeous Grandchampion buck that had a full show career like Ellie, and between the two I'm so, SO excited to get babies from these two! Due date is May 9th.
SkyLark was bred to Sno again, due to some complications with the last litter, I decided to repeat the breeding. She is due April 27th.
I'm trying to breed my blue doe 7Pines Bijou to Bruce Lee this week as well. I will announced a due date as soon as I have one for sure. This will also be a very exciting litter! Bijou is 3 years old, although she is currently going to replace Raven in my breeding program.
Check out the blog for cute fluffy bunny pictures!

Raven's babies are growing! The rest of the litters have *graduated* the Nestbox stage, so check them out on the blog!
Raven had 8 babies, for various reasons she has lost several, one being she kept hopping out of the box with babies latched on while nursing who ended up getting too cold as *infant* kits, so now I'm down to just 2 beautiful babies. They are both really nice, strong kits at this stage, so I'm excited to watch them continue to develop.

The last Spring litter expected has arrived! M&K's Raven (black doe) had a beautiful litter of 8 on the 23rd. 2 were DOA, so I'm down to just 6. There are a couple that look runty, so I'm watching them closely, I'm not sure if they'll make it. She is being a good mom so far, better than last time. Really hoping for some does in this litter.
Ellie's litter, 4 REWs are beautiful 11 week olds that are about to make their first jr show debut this weekend.
SkyLark's litter is doing well, I still can't tell sex yet.
Stormy's litter is beautiful, 2 does and 3 bucks. I am really really thrilled with how I'm seeing the quality develop in these babies. Truly stunning animals. Check out the Blog to see lots more pictures of all of them!

Babies are growing up so fast! We have 11 babies still in the nestbox, I lost 1 little blue a week ago. The babies just turned 3 weeks old over the weekend, and so I took some pictures. Go check out the blog for lots more cuteness!
SkyLark's litter (pictured right)
6 beautiful babies, 2 REWs, 1 black, 3 Blues. Again, the blues could possibly be Steels. Not sure yet. Can't tell genders for sure, although I know the big REW is a doe. The rest I'm not sure on, just giving them more time.
Stormy's litter (pictured below)
5 fluffy bunnies! Oh they're gorgeous! Eeekk! Just look at the torts! And the Fawn! I love these guys. They were born a day after SkyLarks, (a day late) but oh boy are they advanced. I'd say they look 5 days older than SkyLark's. 2 does, 3 bucks. Fawn and the darker tort are both girls, the black, Chestnut and other tort are boys. Still trying to get the tort color figured out. Either Black or blue tort. There is a difference in the level of shading, but I love them both! I have a big feeling about this litter, they are just precious. Stormy has been an awesome mom.

English Angora litters are developing and growing well! Both mama's have healthy litters. Stormy's are growing fast it seems, probably because there are a few less babies in her litter than SkyLark's. Colors I'm getting figured out a bit better, so here is the latest "thoughts/guesses" at what these babies might be!
SkyLark: 2 REWs, 1 black, 4 blues. However.... SkyLark's mom was a Blue steel. That is the Es gene. So, these babies could possibly be blue steels. Not much color difference to our eyes than a blue, although upon close inspection you might find some silver tipping. No one can tell until at least 6-8 weeks once the full wool coat starts to develop. For spinning, wool will be about the same color, it is just more something that I'm watching play out genetically. I'm not sure yet, but it is a suspicion. Patience, with brand new babies there is always lots of waiting!
Stormy: 1 Chestnut, 1 black, 2 torts, 1 Fawn? Okay, so look at the picture. All of the "orange" colored babies have slightly different shading/markings. The one on the bottom has clearly Agouti markings. So it could be a smutty Fawn (fawn with grey shading in areas, but not a tort). The middle one could be a blue tort? The top one could be as well, maybe just a little lighter. I'm not 100% sure yet. They are torts though, so I'll just have to wait and see. All of the babies are beautiful.
Ellie's babies are doing well. They are so fluffy now!!! I don't overly consider them "nestbox" babies, so for pictures of them, check out the blog. They will be 7 weeks old on Monday. Fluff balls that they are, I'm loving all of them!
Raven, my Black doe, was bred to Sno, and is expecting a litter February 23rd. It has been almost a year since she had her last litter, so I'm not sure if she'll have babies. We'll just have to wait and see! REW's, Torts, Blacks are probably most likely colors expected.
Babies from SkyLark, Stormy, and possibly Raven will be available. Please contact me for more information if you are looking for a bunny. I don't know what will be available until the babies develop more, and I make my own evaluations as to what I'd be keeping.

SkyLark (blue tort doe) had a beautiful litter of 10 babies to start with January 15th. I've lost 3 already, but as of today they all have big fat healthy bellies, and are doing great! I have 4 Blues, 1 Black, and 2 REWs. I will update here as they get bigger. Several in this litter will be available in a couple months for new homes, they come from great parents, show lines, daddy is Reg, so they would be great for pets, show or brood homes. I may keep a couple myself, they are very nice babies. 7 is plenty big of a litter for me! (the picture was taken before I lost a couple) Stormy (Chestnut doe) also had a litter this morning. She was bred to Cabernet, my Opal buck. She had 5 babies, 1 Black, 1 chestnut (so pretty, it is so fat too!), and 3 light colored agoutis that I'm assuming/pretty sure could be Lynx. The babies look healthy, no runts, I doubt I'll lose any. Stormy is a very good mom and she has her milk in and is doing great. Ellie babies are 6 weeks old now, 2 girls, and 2 boys. They are all very very beautiful babies. If you're looking for an Angora, contact me, I'll probably have several babies available around March/April or so. Check out my Blog for more pictures and updates! Thanks! |

Ellie babies are doing well. She is down to just 4 babies now, she had some trouble with feeding them, so I've had to supplement them quite a bit. The 4 I have left are beautiful, they are the biggest and the fattest babies in the bunch. I appear to have 2 Does, 1 buck, and I'm not sure what the last one is yet. I'm very pleased with them, They are doing quite well, hopefully I shouldn't lose another.
SkyLark was bred to Sno and is due January 15th. Hopefully she'll have babies this time.
Thanks for stopping by!

ELLIE BABIES HAVE ARRIVED!!! After waiting so long, I'm super excited to announce the arrivals of 9 beautiful little REW's. Ellie was bred to Sno, and delivered 10 babies this morning, one was DOA (dead on arrival), but still, 9 babies is a huge litter for my little lady. Hopefully she'll get her milk in well, and I won't have to supplement too much. Watch for more updates!
Might try to breed a couple more does here soon... we'll see. I can tell you that 9 babies will already be a handful for me to keep up with the next couple months. I do want some colors though, so either Raven or SkyLark will hopefully be bred soon. I'm going to wait awhile with Stormy, just because I'd like to maybe consider doing a different color breeding with her.

Want some really exciting news??? Arrivals are expected!!!! 4 Does have been bred. Who all will give birth we'll see but here are the details:
GC Dustibunni's Eloquence x Dustibunni's Sno=Due November 5th. REW x REW breeding, all REWs expected
Mullens' SkyLark x Dustibunni's Sno=Due November 5th REW x Blue Tort breeding, Blue, Rew, Tort expected
Bungalow of Bunnies Keltic Storm x Dustibunni's Sno=Due November 13th REWx Chestnut breeding, Agoutis, Blue, REW and who knows what???
M&K's Raven x Kelfla's Bruce Lee=Due November 21st Black x Black breeding, so expecting Black, Black Tort, and ???? :-)
I also bred Sno to a friend's Pointed White doe, REW and pointed babies are expected. I may choose a keeper from that litter as well. If these does give birth, I will have my hands full until January, and more does won't be bred again until Spring. However, if the does don't give birth, they will be rebred. :-)
Hopefully some babies will arrive. I'm fairly confident that each breeding was fertile, although with rabbits they always keep you guessing. I don't put a lot of stock by palpating (trying to feel for babies) so I just try to wait and hope for the best. I'm very excited about all of the upcoming litters, these are going to be splendid show animals for Nationals in the spring which I'm looking forward to, but I will always have a few others looking for pet homes.
September 2nd, 2015
Ellie didn't have babies again, Neither did Raven. So they will be rebred soon. They probably didn't take because of the heat, but now it should be cool enough to rebreed. I will also be breeding Stormy with my friend's Chestnut buck soon, they will probably have all Chestnuts, but I think it will be a good pairing. I'm past the dates for good Seniors for Nationals, but I'll hopefully have some decent competitive Juniors, and with good density they should hold their own. I'll update due dates or litters here again soon.

Well.... It has been awhile since an update here in the nestbox. I have Raven bred to Sno and Raven is expecting July 2nd. Expecting REWs, Blacks, and maybe a dilute and some shaded (tort). We'll see! More breedings are close on the horizon, Ellie and Sno will be bred soon, as well as Stormy with a buck from my friend. Updates will be posted as things progress. You are welcome to contact me for a waiting list.
Pictured left is my beautiful baby Acadia from Raven's last litter in winter. She is a baby from Bruce Lee and Raven. Beautiful little doe!

Well, the babies are getting bigger! Stormy's baby are all 6 weeks old, and Raven's black babies are all 5 weeks old. They are pretty cute! I have 2 does in each litter, and one black buck in each litter. All the babies are turning out beautiful. Super excited to see several show hopefuls take shape, the little Chestnut doe in Stormy's being particularly exceptional looking at this point. The little Fawn doe is so endearing though, and is such a sweetie. |

Babies are all doing great!! Pictured on the side are Stormy's babies, 1 Black, 1 Fawn, 1 Chestnut. The Fawn is a little smutty (see the darker shaded spots on her nose and ears a little) but they are oh so cute. I'm probably keeping both the Chestnut and the Black. The Chestnut and the Fawn are both does as far as I can tell at this point. The Black is a buck. They are all so beautiful though, just as babies I can tell I have some show winners hopefully.
Raven's babies are doing awesome too! I have 4 happy little hoppers in her nestbox. Can't tell for sure boys/girls yet, but I have my eye on a nice big kit that I really like, who *seems* to be a girl at this point. I'm pretty excited about them. All of them are going to turn out really nice.
I think it is time to say Jinger's and Aggie's babies have graduated the Nestbox. Check them out over at the blog... They are all so cute! :-)

Raven had 6 babies on March 1st, 2 torts were DOA, (dead on arrival) and now she has 4 healthy Black kits. They are doing great, and so far she is being a good mom. I'm hoping they all make it, they appear to be quite nice, and genetically have the potential to do well on the showtable.
Stormy's babies are doing okay. She lost 3 of her 6... one was a runt and died a couple days back, the other two were healthy, but found their way out of their nestbox in the middle of the night, and onto the kitchen floor, and got too cold. I lost a Chestnut and a Black Tort. I have a Fawn/tort left, a Chestnut, and a Black. The Black appears to currently be a buck, the other two look like does. I was disappointed to lose a couple, especially since they were in the house, but the rest of the litter is exceptionally healthy, and is benefiting from the extra milk and attention from Momma Stormy.
Jinger's and Aggie's babies are doing well. I do know which ones I'm keeping at this point, as well as a couple of the ones that would be available. (Send me an email if you're interested in details). The babies would not be ready for their new homes for another 3 1/2 weeks yet, but I could possibly arrange a couple homes ahead of time.
All the babies are here for the Spring! No more are expected or planned as of yet.

Stormy had her babies this morning (2/22/15)! She had 6 babies, all are alive and thriving. There are 3 Chestnuts, 1 Black, and 2 light colored ones that I think are black Torts. Stormy is being a great mom so far, she is doing great for a 1st time mom. I have her in the house for the week, due to the cold outdoor weather temperatures.
Jinger's babies are doing well. They are now just past 3 weeks old, and are very lovely little babies. The Chocolate Tort is a buck, not a doe like I formally thought, so that makes for 3 boys and 4 girls. The Chocolate Tort, Black, and Chestnut are all especially nice.
Aggie's babies are so great. Her two biological babies (black vm bucks) are thriving, they are very big chubby babies. Her foster kit is also doing well.
Raven is due this Saturday (2/28/15) and I'm very hopeful for babies. Next weekend hopefully I'll have another update with them!
Thanks for stopping by! Head over to the Blog to see more pictures of all the babies!

The babies are coming along great, all of they have their eyes wide open and are starting to really get fluffy. Colors are all the same, I'm pretty sure I have 5 girls and 2 boys. The Fawn (2nd from the right above) and the Blue (3rd from the left above) are both boys, and everybody else looks like a lady right now. If I were to pick my top three, it'd be the Chestnut, Black, and the Chocolate Tort. All three are beautiful all around. Right now everybody is pretty adorable, and I'm having lots of fun getting cuddling time in. Rufus (high color modifier pigment gene which you see in the fur/wool) is running high, all of the babies are as bright as shiny new pennies!
Aggie's babies are doing great. All three are boys.
Stormy is due on the 19th, just a few more days. Can't say for sure if she is bred or not. I hope that she is.
Raven is due the 28th, she totally acts and eats like a pregnant momma, so I really hope she is. She lifted easily when I went to breed her, which hopefully means she successfully took. I'm pretty sure she did.

The babies are doing great! We had a little color development in the last week. I now have fully determined their colors, they have changed a lot since birth. 1 Fawn, 1 Blue, 1 Black, 1 Chestnut, 1 blue Tort, 1 Chocolate tort, and 1 Chocolate Agouti. I hadn't expected torts, but I definitely have torts here. Their eyes just opened and they are starting to get fluffy. All of them are adorable, right now looking at them I'd say the Chestnut and Black are showing really good development, the Chestnut seems to have a great body. They can still change a lot from this point on, but first impressions can be lasting impressions. ;-) Aggie's babies are... okay. She has 2 blacks left. For some reason the tort didn't make it. I am fostering a tort baby for my friend, so there still is the same amount of babies eating. One of the black's is enormous, a sure sign of being the pick of the litter. I'm hoping it is a girl, but we'll see. So Aggie has two biological babies, and 1 foster baby. Raven and Stormy are both due, they are going to be my main show quality litters, Stormy is due February 19th, and Raven is due the 28th. Both mama's seem to be pregnant. *Note* I have had a lot of inquires about these babies and upcoming litters, I know some will be available for homes, but I will not know which ones until at least the end of March to Mid April. I am not taking deposits at this time. I need to make my own evaluations first before I start lining up homes. You are welcome to contact me and let me know you're interested, but I can offer no guarantees. Watch for updates here and on the Blog, I will try to keep things updated. Thank you for your patience. ** |

And we have babies! Jinger kindled (gave birth) on January 24th, one day early. She had them mid morning, and gave birth to 7 happy little squigglers. They are all doing great! Colors are: 2 Fawns, 1 Black, 1 Chestnut, 1 Blue, 1 Chocolate Agouti, 1 Lynx. I'm super excited about the Blue and the Chocolate Agouti, this is the first time I've had those colors. Jinger is being a great mom, the babies are already almost a week old and are thriving.
Aggie also kindled, a day late instead on time, on January 26th. She had 6 babies, 4 pronounced DOA (dead on arrival). I was able to revive one. So she has 3 living babies. They are doing great, all are healthy. There are 2 Blacks, and one Tort. They are all vienna marked.
Raven did not have babies, and she has been rebred and is due February 28th.
I also bred Stormy, she is due February 22nd. I'm pretty sure both Raven and Stormy took, and should be pregnant.

Raven, Jinger and Aggie are all bred and are due January 25th. Yep, I bred on Christmas day, that should help me to be able to easily remember when the babies are born. (Jan 25th) I had a light on the girls for 2-3 weeks, and I fed them some parsley so they hopefully did take. Raven and Aggie I'm pretty confident that they did... Jinger is a maybe, she took but only once. So I'll update again when I have babies!

Aggie and Bruce Lee are bred and she is due November 20th. She has gained weight so I'm hoping for some babies.
I need to breed Jinger, fawn doe, and Raven, my black doe. I'm trying to time their litters for show babies around Nationals and Convention.
I will not have any Bew's, as originally planned, at all this fall or winter.
Hopefully my next update will include pics of Aggie's babies! :-) **Update** Aggie didn't have babies, Jinger, Raven and Aggie will be rebred in the next couple weeks. I'll post due dates when I have them.

Amy and Bruce lee didn't take on that last breeding, she was rebred, and babies are now due October 19th, this Saturday. I'm not sure if she is pregnant or not, I've never been much good at palpating (feeling for babies) doe's. I'm hoping she has babies. If she does, the babies would be ready Christmas week.
I haven't rebred anyone else, but I'm kicking the idea around this week. Jinger needs to be rebred, So does Aggie. Aggie's babies would be a closed litter, I wouldn't be placing any of them for homes, besides woolers only.
I'm also talking to my friend Tessa about maybe breeding her BEW doe (Daughter of my Former BEW Angel) to my BEW buck. So around New years I may have more bunnies for adoption or home placement. Possibly.
You are welcome to send me an email and ask me to place you on my waiting list, if you're interested in something ahead of time.

Amy and Bruce Lee were bred on August 13th. Babies hopefully expected Saturday, Sept 13th. I'm excited to see what she has, she has several interesting genes. :-) They "tied" 2 times, one in the morning and once in the evening, so I'm hopeful for babies this time. I'd really love a non-molting REW doe, and both parents should carry that, so I hope!
Jinger and Aggie's babies are almost 9 weeks old now. Some are headed to new homes, 3 are my Fall Show Juniors. It is almost time to re-breed Aggie for another Spring show litter. (Show juniors need to be 5-6 months before they hit the show tables, so I need to plan litters 7-8 months in advance.)
Other than that, not a whole lot going on. I'm mostly grooming everybody all the time, and Amy's will be the first Fall litter expected. Still deciding about who Aggie will be bred to.

Jinger and Aggie's babies are getting big!!! Aggie has 3 Tort Vm's, 1 boy and 2 girls. Boy is Sold, one girl is available to be reserved, and the other girl I'm trying to talk myself into keeping. Lol...
Of Jinger's babies.... I have 2 Blacks, 2 Fawns, 1 Lynx, 1 Chestnut (don't ask, I'm most likely keeping her ;-) ), and a Cream. 3 boys, 4 girls.
Sea Cloud should *hopefully* have some babies soon. Amy didn't take, so no babies from her 'til fall. She has grown her coat back in from the last shearing and looks so pretty right now!
So check out the blog for more pictures of Jinger and Aggie's babies... And check back in a couple weeks to see who I end up keeping! LOL...

Planning some fun fall show babies for this fall!!! Check back soon. I'm hoping to breed Jinger and Bruce lee, and Amy and Bruce Lee. I would love to see Amy's density and Bruce Lee's body combined into some beautiful bunnies. :-) Also hoping to have Angel go on a date with my BEW buck for some BEW babies!

Cicily's babies are doing great, and are such a happy little bunch. I ended up with 2 stunning blacks, and two very pretty Chocolate Sables. I know right? Hard color to figure out, that is why it has taken me 6 weeks!!
In other news, Angel is bred to my friend Tessa's new BEW buck and is *supposed* to have babies on January 27th. YaY! I'm hoping she has babies this time!

Cicily had her babies! She had 5 babies, 4 are happy and healthy. I'm still not sure what colors they are yet, I'm guessing 2 Blues and 2 REW's. Maybe Black or Tortoise though too! I'm super excited, I love them already. Stay tuned for more info!!
