This will give you a general idea of my thoughts on Holding rabbits, Waiting Lists, etc. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
Photos:
All the photos on my website are my own, I take all of the pictures and edit them myself. There is quite a bit of internet photo copying going on, and I will emphasize that you ask me before you use one of my photos. They are Copyrighted, (see bottom of pages), Do NOT use one without my permission. THANK YOU.
Genders and Replacements:
I do not Guarantee the gender of any bunny under the age of 12 weeks. I am pretty good at sexing them at 7-8 weeks, so that shouldn't be an issue.
I do NOT offer replacements for Dutch or English Angora rabbits. If your rabbit dies, that is not my fault, I have no way of knowing what it has been fed, exposed to, or if it has experienced too much stress. I make sure a rabbit is in good health before I sell it to you, and will not take responsibility for it after it leaves my property and/or care. Rabbits are somewhat frail animals, and too much stress/heat can hurt them or even prove to be fatal.
My Discretion
I do have the right of whether or not I choose to sell a bunny to you. I want my rabbits to go to loving, caring, responsible homes, and I WILL choose what homes my bunnies will go to. I am not obligated to sell any of my animals, and retain the right of cancelling the sale at any given time. I will return the deposit if the cancel is on my own personal terms. No offense is meant, but these are my rabbits, and I am in control of who they go to. If I'm uncomfortable with the home, or if I feel something is questionable or someone is rude, or for whatever reason undisclosed, I need to make decisions on whether or not this home is a good option for MY rabbit(s).
Holding Dutch Rabbits:
1. To hold a Pedigreed Dutch rabbit, I will require 1/2 of the full amount to purchase. (Normally this is anywhere from $15-$25). I do not prefer to hold Un-Pedigreed rabbits beyond the time it will take you to drive to my house. If I'm "holding" an unpedigreed rabbit for you, I will need your name and phone number, and I will call you if I have someone else interested in the rabbit before selling it, unless a deposit has been made.
Holding English Angora's:
2. A non-refundable minimum of a $25+ deposit is required to hold any English Angora. ($25+ per Angora that you want held) It will be on hold as long as we agree on, and if the agreement isn't met, The rabbit will be placed up for sale again, and the deposit is currently non-refundable. If I cancel the sale for a personal reason, which I can do, I will refund the deposit, however, if you are wanting to cancel the sale, the deposit will remain non-refundable.
Waiting Lists:
I'm fine with taking your name, number and/or e-mail address and letting you know when a certain rabbit or litter will come available. A Deposit will be required as soon as we agree on. An Angora will not be sold until 7-8 weeks old. (at minimum) Typically I prefer to wait until 12 weeks or sometimes 4-5 months. I do like to only take a deposit once the rabbit is around 8 weeks old for a pet, 10-12+ weeks for show quality, giving me time to make my own evaluations on what I'm keeping, and also to give the buyer a better idea of what the rabbit will look like as an adult. I do not currently take deposits on babies that are still in the nestbox. I want to make sure that each rabbit finds a great home, even if it means waiting. Thank you for understanding.
Terms I use on my for sale page(s):
Available: This means the rabbit is not spoken for, and is up for adoption and purchase.
Purchase Pending: This means that I have received/are receiving a deposit on that certain rabbit, and the rabbit is awaiting pickup.
Sold: The rabbit has been paid for in full, and is no longer available.
Personalities:
All of my bunnies are raised with sweet temperaments, and I've never had trouble with mean rabbits. Once you purchase your new bunny, I am not responsible for the rabbit's temperament. I'm not offering any guarantee's on how the rabbit's personality will turn out later in life. I am not offering any replacements or guarantees on a rabbit's temperament.
Payment Options:
I accept Cash, Paypal, or Postal Money Orders ONLY for deposits. When I ask for a money order, I do not want a Walmart or personal Bank money order, I want a Postal money order. You go can go to your local post office a get one there. Otherwise, Cash only. I will NOT take a check. Also note, it is vital that you contact me before sending a payment, do NOT send any type of payment without my knowledge or consent. Please note, I prefer CASH in personal transactions, Money order or Paypal is ONLY offered for deposits or cross country travel options. Cash is what I want and expect in a personal meeting.
Transportation Options and Information:
I always prefer to meet my buyers in person, however I'm open to working out transportation occasionally. Normally I prefer to only use transporters or friends that I trust. Please be aware that if you are wanting to transport, that I take No responsibility for the rabbit once it leaves my care. There are transport fees involved to be paid to the transporter, not me. If you are interested in transporting, please contact me for more information about it.
I do also have the ability to Fly a rabbit on an Airplane within the United States. This is expensive and shipping is paid by the buyer, however it is doable and available, and I have successfully flown rabbits across the country. Please email me for more information about this option.
Pricing of my rabbits:
I price my rabbits according to how I feel they should be priced. The higher the price doesn't mean that the rabbit is an exceptional show rabbit, I may have private reasons for pricing them as I choose, or if I might be interested in keeping it.
There are 4 different categories I use when selling my rabbits:
Retirement: This means that I'm retiring the bunny, and it will (commonly) be sold without a pedigree, to a PET HOME ONLY. These bunnies usually have sweet personalities and are loving little creatures, I'm looking for fiber home or people that are looking for a pet.
Pet Quality: These are for pet purposes only. No breeding. You are welcome to show it if you please, but I wouldn't encourage it. I leave it up to you if you decide to spay or neuter him/her, that is entirely optional. These will not come with a pedigree.
Breeding or Brood Quality: These are rabbits that I may not choose to preferably see shown. Although I may believe they have the ability to throw show quality babies, I do not guarantee that they will. Generally these are very nice rabbits, often some I would maybe keep or are of a very high quality. Some of these may also be show quality, I just feel they aren't as up to the high competition as the show quality rabbits are.
Show Quality: I cannot guarantee how any rabbit sold will do on a show table or if it will produce at all, let alone produce show quality kits. If I mention that the animal is show quality it means that that specific rabbit is free of any DQs at the time of my inspection, and is an animal that I would be proud to put on the show table to show myself. These are normally of the highest quality I have available. These will not be sold without pedigrees, and they will remain at full price. These could also be used as brood animals once they are done being shown.
